In modern day we all forget about our ancient wisdom and follow a routine as per the modern life , which leads to a lot of health issues and low immunity .
In this blog today we will discuss five morning rituals which one must follow to improve immunity and better health .
First of all it is very important to know that our mouth and nose are the channels from where bacteria and viruses enter in our body and once these viruses and bacteria enter in our body , and we are having a lot of imbalances in our body then they can grow at a faster rate .

So let’s start with the five practices or rituals which you can follow before going out and can make a lot of difference in your life .

  1. Wake up in Brahm Muhurt – In ayurved it is mentioned that one should wake up in Brahma Muhurt , which means 1 hr 30 min. before sunset . This is the best time to wake up as you can get enough time to spend with yourself like you can do morning walk in nature , meditation , yoga , pranayama ( breathing exercise ) or just a time where you can sit and see what is going inside you .
Later on our regular routine starts and we all forget how to spend time with oneself . Most of the people do it and it enhances their daily productivity and lowers the stress level. Stree is one of the major factors which leads to inflammation in your body which leads to many lifestyle disorders .
  2. Wash eyes with Triphala Water – A very quick remedy for the people to norrish the eyes. Soak 5 grams of Triphala powder and soak it in 300 ml of water at night in the morning, strain it and use this water for washing eyes . Eye wash cups are also available which you can use for this activity .
  3. Oil Pulling and Teeth Cleaning – Oil Pulling means , keeping cold processed oil in mouth and swishing it for 5 min everyday early morning . You can take 5-10 ml of cold pressed sesame oil or coconut oil and swish it in the mouth for 5 min every morning and then wash your mouth with lukewarm water . It nourishes the gums and teeth and also kills the germs present in the mouth . Doing this activity since childhood also improves oral health .
Teeth Cleaning (Dant bhawan) – Instead of using chemical loaded toothpaste use natural stems of babool , neema etc. These not only help you to kill the germs from the oral cavity , but also protect you from the side effects which you get from these chemicals. 4. Nasyam – Nasyam is a therapy in which sesame oil , ghee or herbal oil drops are poured in the nasal cavity . In Ayurveda it is said that “Nasa hi Shiraso dwaram” which means if you put oil , ghee in your nose it is going to nourish your brain as well. In ayurveda if a person is suffering from insomnia or mental disorder then it is advisable to use this therapy . Moreover it makes a lining around your nasal passage which can hamper the entry of microbes and thus protect us from diseases .
  4. Body Massage (Abhayangam) – We all know that our skin needs nourishment which we can get from our diet but to make it more supple and to protect the skin from the weather changes , we all must follow a process called abhyanga which means massage with oil . One can use Olive oil , Sesame oil or Mustard oil for a full body massage . In case you won;t be able to do it everyday then do it at least twice in a week 15 min before bath .
